From the time we are children, we are taught to stamp out our inner voice and conform to the voices of others. As adults, this can lead to great challenges when it comes time to make important decisions or simply to hear our own voice (and what we truly want) over the voices of everyone else. This is especially critical when we are at a crossroads or time of challenge, when our own voice can seem to be overwhelmed by other people’s opinions and emotions. During these extraordinary times, these other voices are extremely prominent and they are coming in at us from every possible angle… we are being told how to stay healthy…how to keep our families and our loved ones safe… the way we should manage our finances… and how we should be living our lives on every level. And then there is the seemingly unrelenting force of our own self-doubt. What if my idea total fails? What if people don’t like my decision? What if I regret this choice later?
